This project intends to include a collection of creative and contemporary outwear design for the brand Mackintosh. Focusing on tailoring, creative cutting, structure and simplicity while bringing the classic elements of coats design. By visiting the Mackintosh factory in Scotland, I got to understand their producing progress and the application of the rubberized material.
The initial inspiration came from the history of comfort women during World War 2 as well as the body movement and the condition that garments are pulled by motion. Got silhouette element from chesterfield coat, I played with the integration of interspersed structure with the classic elements like tailored collar and two-piece sleeves.
